WHO WE ARE

At DANCE on grove we aim to teach children the joy of dance, in a fun and friendly environment, whilst still developing a strong technical skill and ability in different Dance genres.
We are a fully  Registered Studio with the Royal Academy of Dance which enables us to enter students in Examinations from Pre-Primary through to Solo Seal levels.
As well as regular lessons and practice, we prepare students for examinations, competition, auditions and live theatre performers.
and have watched our dancers success into the .
I established the studio in Marlborough in 1980 as the 'Jeannie Gill Academy of Dance' and from there co-directed the 'Marlborough Dance Centre'. Now we continue to grow and educate dancers in our Community under our new umbrella and work hard to nurture our young dancers through their successes. I have also had musch pleasure of mentoring local Dance Teachers in their career path.

MORE ABOUT US:

History:

Our latest breakthrough:

We offer a journey for children through to Adults in Dance.
Starting at walking age with our mums and bubs class and through the Years we watch the development into dedicated  young dancers. We have recently introduced strengthening and fitness classes for the more senior students and offer regular Yoga and Pilates classes for variety, stimulation and muscle strength. Classes are structured and well coordinated in beautiful studio spaces with mirrors, barres and dance floors.
We have just staged the full ballet of 'Beauty and the Beast' and are now working hard toward the RAD ballet exams in September. To end the Year we are combining with Marlborough Childrens Theatre to produce a Shakesparean dramatic/ballet version of 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' to be performed at the ASB theatre in December.
In July we took a Team of dancers to LA to work with famouis choreographers and then to perform live at Disneyland. We gained so much from the trip we are organising another for 2018
